Another platform for animation technology is the use of the Internet. It has opened up so many new options for animators, developers and creators and has also branched out to web designers and videos that have explored computer animation for internet purposes.

Search engines such as google and yahoo have explored these animation techniques, with their homepages using animated toolbars, graphics and applications such as weather and news. As you can see from the picture below, it shows the weather pop up that animated on screen without any need to click it or start the movements.

Another aspect of the internet is the use of websites specifically made for animators and tutorials for animation on websites like YouTube. An example of this, is the video link underneath, which has been made as a tutorial to learn how to animate using software Macromedia Flash Player, an easily accessible programme.
